Reproduction
There is no special introduction between male clams and female clams. When the right season comes, a male releases his sperm into the water and a female releases her sperm into the water. The sperm fertilizes the eggs in open water. While developing as larvae, the eggs get carried around by ocean currents. Eventually the eggs hatch and the clams begin to form shells and sink to the bottom of the ocean.
